Recruited right out of his California high school by nationally ranked Western Washington University, Eric was Western’s basketball team leader and top defensive player. He played basketball aggressively until he graduated with honors from Western’s College of Business and Economics. The basketball program subsequently named the student-athlete award in his honor.
Eric’s belief in upholding individual legal rights led him to Gonzaga University School of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude. His immediate aptitude for criminal defense law led him to stand out at law school, where he excelled academically, graduating at the top of his class.
He was recruited right out of law school by a small criminal defense firm in Seattle.
